Obesity - we HATE that word, but any other would eventually be just as abhorrent - is a disease. Just like any other disease process, it is complex and interventions or tools for control do not work the same for every person. There are many factors that contribute to obesity & once conquered, it is a lifelong struggle to keep it under control. We won't promise you will lose weight fast (because the faster you drop it, the faster it jumps back on and the harder it clings when it's back - see below), BUT - IT IS POSSIBLE! It isn't easy, but it IS worth it!

We are not your typical weight loss program - we are treating obesity. We don't want you to lose weight just to find it later - we want it gone forever.

Each and every one of us is different. Our histories, our motivations, our hurdles, our weaknesses - different. Our bodies are different, too. Obesity is a disease - a potentially LETHAL one - and like other diseases, it often requires a little help to get under control, and possibly to maintain that control.
We'll start with bloodwork - what does your body look like metabolically? What can we do to optimize that?
There are numerous adjuncts to help you lose weight - medications, weight loss injections, diet supplements, peptide therapies, and more. Some increase energy, some optimize metabolism, some work to slow down your GI tract, some block absorption of macronutrients.
You know your body best - let's figure out what works best for you together!

We know you know what we mean! Diets are restrictive, make you miserable, and are not sustainable. As you go down that rabbit hole you wind up inevitably cheating, which leads to guilt, shame, and hopelessness.
NO THANK YOU.
There is no one "diet" that is better than another and none are "quick fixes". BUT - they can all be great tools to help you lose the weight and get control of your obesity. Real, sustainable obesity control comes from understanding food, how it affects your body, the reasons behind the choices we make, and learning how to make the best choices for each of us that we can. Sometimes, that means eating a salad. Sometimes, it's a cupcake. We'll help you figure it out!
If WE are running - you should be running, 'cause something BAD is coming!
Seriously, though. The word "exercise" makes us cringe. Our brains instantly hit the off switch and we are no longer paying attention, lost in flashbacks of PE/gym class and the horrors of fitness tests. Ugh! We will never use that word. We will never insist you go to the gym. Your journey - and your body - is your own. Your body needs to move to be healthy, but that doesn't have to be in a gym, nor entail running. The best activity (see what we did there) is one you enjoy and will do often. We're here to help you figure out what works for you - together!
