Serenity Medical is owned by a couple from Nelson County. Our Provider, Dr. Jeanne, is a doctorally prepared Nurse Practitioner who grew up in Nelson, has been in the medical field in one capacity or another since high school, and has a passion for helping others. Her husband Matt grew up visiting Nelson County often when he was young, deciding to make Nelson his home when he and Dr. Jeanne started dating. Dr. Jeanne has long had a dream of opening her own clinic, and Matt - as usual - does whatever it takes to make Dr. Jeanne's dreams come true. Together, they created Serenity Medical in the hopes of serving their community. You will often find their children, whom are also in the medical field, helping out around the clinic, too.

Here at Serenity Medical, we believe people are people and imperfect. There are things about each of us that are changeable, and things that are not. We believe you should be able to trust your medical provider to give you honest answers about both and to be able to make your own decisions about your body and health, with support from that same medical provider regardless of what you choose. Dr. Jeanne likes to say "Our job is biology, not morality. This is a judgement free zone." and she lives that statement everyday. We ask for your candidness, honesty, and trust so that we may in turn give you the best information about yourself and your health that we can. We will always respect any decisions you make about your body and health and continue to support you through those decisions - whether that requires serenity, courage, or wisdom!
